Unfortunately I'm using a soundMax windows 7 driver so I don't have that option. In some driver software (Realtek) you can turn off jack detection to bypass this problem. The only thing that I've found that might be the problem is the jack detection. The audio bar in the sound panel goes up and down when I play sounds, so I know it thinks its working. My problem is that the headphone jack on the front of my laptop has stopped 'detecting' that headphones are plugged in.
